It's file sharing is also pretty basic as you can't just download anything you want. Miro is a good open source video player if you can get past the fact it doesn't play a s many different types of files as the likes of VLC.

Miro is a perfect example of how video content from different sources can be integrated into one single application and served directly to your PC in a fast, easy and elegant way. Beware, however, that the video quality may vary from one channel or video source to another, and that there may be video services that are not available in your country. There are more than two thousand channels available, and all of them are free. Not only can you browse through the existing channel list, but you can easily add new channels to the sidebar simply by clicking a button to subscribe.
This guide is actually a welcome one, as it helps you get started with Miro and also lets you search and browse the various channels effortlessly.
